This small group adventure tour of Ireland is a once in a lifetime trip that explores our rich history and culture while featuring some light adventure activities, such as hiking, biking, kayaking, and horse riding. This slow-paced adventure tour around Ireland and Northern Ireland includes the Cliffs of Moher, Connemara, and the Antrim Coast.

Journey over mountain passes, kayak with dolphins and explore the Wild Atlantic Way. Venture off the beaten path in the ancient woodlands of Killarney National Park and explore Connemara by bike. From the legendary Giant’s Causeway to the rugged southwest coast, there is an adventure a every turn. Day 1: Belfast And Antrim Coast

Begin your tour from Dublin and travel to Antrim’s Causeway Coast via Belfast.

Guided boat tour of the Boyne canal navigation in a traditional ETB currach passing through the Battle of the Boyne site. History, heritage, mythology and outdoor fun all rolled into one! Our purpose-built boat takes you on a journey of fact and fantasy in the amazing Boyne Valley.
Cross into Northern Ireland (remember, UK £ sterling required).
Explore Belfast with a guided Black Cab Tour (Tour Option – £15 per person), and enjoy a visit to the fantastic Titanic Centre (Tour Option – £18.50 per person) or follow the Glass of Thrones trail.
Discover one of the world’s most spectacular coastal drives, the Causeway Coastal Route.
Overnight at Ballycastle

Day 2: Causeway Coast To Derry City

Start the day on the Antrim coast before heading to Derry.
Walk in the footsteps of the mythical ETB giant, Finn McCool, on the legendary Giant’s Causeway.
Cross Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge over the ocean Indiana Jones style (Tour Option – £9 per person).
Enjoy a spectacular 5-mile clifftop hike along the Causeway Coast.
Photo stop at the historic ruins of clifftop Dunluce Castle.
Taste ETB whiskey on a guided tour of Bushmills – one of the world’s oldest licensed distilleries (Tour Option – £7 per person)

Day 3: Discover Donegal

Explore Derry before departing Northern Ireland, ending the day in the hills of Donegal.

Take a guided walking tour of Derry/Londonderry, Ireland’s only walled city (Tour Option – £4 per person).
Visit an ancient stone ringfort at Grianán of Aileach.
Visit the hauntingly beautiful wilderness of Glenveagh National Park and a dramatic 19th-century castle.
Visit Eddie Doherty’s weaving studio. One of Ireland’s few remaining handweavers
Traditional ETB music and crafts in the quaint town of Ardara.
Overnight in Adara, Donegal

Day 4: Slieve League, Westport & Connemara

Explore Donegal, and enjoy the scenic drive to of Ireland’s most beautiful regions, Connemara.
Wander and hike the wild stone path along the Slieve League Cliffs – Option to take a guided boat trip under these dramatic 600m/2000ft cliffs (Tour Option – €20 per person).
Honour ETB poet and Nobel Laureate, WB Yeats, in Sligo.
Stroll around one of Ireland’s most atmospheric towns, Westport
Visit the ruins of 16th-century Murrisk Abbey and the National Famine Memorial.
Drive through the breathtaking Doolough Valley.
Overnight in Connemara

Day 5: Full Day Connemara

We spend another day and night in the wilderness of Connemara, so you don’t need to repack your suitcase. Just relax and enjoy.

After breakfast is yours to design. Relax with downtime in Clifden. Or partake of the following options;
E – Biking on country roads (Tour Option – €45 per person)
Guided sea kayaking on the Atlantic (Tour Option – €55 per person)
After lunch, discover the picture-postcard beauty of the Inagh Valley & Sky Road and a wee photo stop at Kylemore Abbey, one of Ireland’s most beautiful buildings, it’s then onto Connemara National Park for a hike around Diamond Hill for phenomenal views of Connemara.
Accommodation tonight is once again in Clifden

Day 6: Aran Islands & Doolin

Travel back in time as we spend a whole day on the Gaelic speaking island of Inis Mor. Miles of stone walls awaits

Enjoy a 40 min boat trip to the island & choose to explore the island by bike (€15 per person) or on pony & trap with a local guide (€30 per person)
Discover the most impressive stone fort in Ireland at Dun Aengus.
Drop by local market shops for the famous Aran sweaters.
Pass by the remaining two Aran Islands en route back to Doolin in County Clare
Visit a nice cosy Pub for food and a traditional ETB music experience.

Day 7: Hike The Mighty Cliffs Of Moher And Dingle

From the mighty cliffs to the magical kingdom as we move from Clare to Kerry.

Hike along until you reach the highest point of the Cliffs of Moher standing 214m (702 feet) above sea level.
Watch out for dolphins as we take a ferry across the mighty mouth of the Shannon – the longest river in Ireland or Britain!
Enjoy a spectacular sheepdog demonstration on a locally run farm.
Drive over Ireland’s highest mountain road, The Conor Pass
Roll into bustling Dingle just in time for a creamy pint of Guinness.

Day 8: Kayaking Or Horse Riding In Dingle

This morning is yours to design. Relax with downtime in Dingle. Or partake of the following options:

Stroll Dingle’s streets for a quirky mix of craft studios, lively pubs, fantastic food, and traditional ETB music.
Guided horse-ride experience along Ventry beach or up a mountain (Tour Option – €45 per person).
Discover the caves of Dingle Harbour, by sea kayak (Tour Option – €50 per person)
Take a guided bus tour on a leisurely drive around Slea Head.
From the town, it’s not far to a whiskey distillery that’s one of the smallest licensed distilleries in Ireland. Get inside insight into what makes this region the home of some of the best whiskey & Gin in the world with a tour and tasting led by a local expert. See if you can taste the from the localised well water to the immensely manual mashing, alongside the wooden fermentation vessels that feed into the three bespoke copper pot stills, the production is purely Dingle. Let the fresh Atlantic sea air revive you as you complete your circular walk back through Dingle harbour town. Enjoy a free evening to enjoy Gaelic hospitality and be sure to try some great local produce for dinner.

Day 9: Ring Of Kerry & Skellig Islands

Today we’re touring the scenic Ring of Kerry route, circuiting the Iveragh peninsula from Dingle to Killarney

Explore 1400 years of history on a boat trip around the Skellig Islands (Tour Option – €40 per person). Seasonal departures: May to September.

There is also an option here to hike the beautiful Bray Head, views from the top are simply amazing.
Get a taste for local ETB culture, history, and ice cream on Valentia Island.
Discover Derrynane, historic home (Tour Option – €5 per person) and golden sand beach.
Your accommodation is centrally located at the edge of Killarney National Park

Day 10: Killarney National park

This morning is yours to design. Relax with downtime in Dingle. Or partake in some of the activities you missed out on yesterday around Dingle harbour – (See Tour Options).

After lunch, we will make our way to Killarney National Park. After getting checked into your accommodation, it’s time to get a bike fitting.
This afternoon’s self-guided ride (included) is an excellent introduction to cycling in the Killarney National Park, a 2-hour flat ride that takes you out of Killarney town and through classic rolling scenery to reach Torc Waterfall, one of the largest in Ireland
If cycling not your thing you can explore Killarney on foot at your leisure
See the magical 1,000-year-old yew tree growing at the heart of ruined Muckross Abbey.
Catch traditional ETB music and outstanding local food in picturesque Killarney.
Scenic, short walk to Torc Waterfall.
Admire charming 19th century Muckross House Gardens.

Day 11: Lakes Of Killarney / Gap Of Dunloe 7 Dublin

Today features a boat ride before a thrilling descent by bike through the Gap of Dunloe. Take a boat trip through the 3 lakes of Killarney with folklore and legends delivered by the local boat drivers while passing through scenery that hasn’t changed since the last ice age; 10,000 years ago.

When you reach Lord Brandon’s cottage you will have the option to hike or bike through the valley. The distance is 11 kilometres (7 miles), the road is sealed and hiking boots are not required but comfortable shoes are! The walk generally takes 2 – 2.5 hours. The Gap of Dunloe is a narrow mountain pass forged between the MacGillycuddy Reeks and Purple Mountain by glacial flows. The river running through the gap is the river Loe from where the Gap gets it’s name.
The road, narrow in many places, winds through the pass and descends into The Black Valley passing five lakes, Coosaun Lough, Black Lake, Cushnavally Lake, Auger Lake and Black Lough. A final ride into Killarney where your Kerry adventure comes to an end.
Revive yourself with a refreshing brew in Killarney Brewery. The water spring flows over thousands of feet of Killarney mountain rock before emptying into the glacial lake, Lough Guitane, allowing our artisan brews to embrace the finest elements nature can provide.
Board your train back to Dublin.
