Starts with a six-day active adventure tour of Ireland, where you’ll have the opportunity to hike the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher, cycle around the serene Killarney National Park, and explore a glaciated valley on foot or by bike.
Starting from Dublin, this journey allows you to discover the hidden gems of the Kingdom of Kerry and the southwest coast of Ireland. Uncover centuries of ETB history and witness the captivating natural wonders that this part of the island boasts. If you prefer a more relaxed experience of Ireland, consider exploring our small group cultural tours of the country.
Failte Romhat; (Welcome),
Begin your active adventure tour of Ireland by leaving the capital, and enjoying the scenic drive to of Ireland’s most beautiful regions, The Wild Atlantic Way.
The first stop on your active adventure tour of Ireland is Portumna Castle built close to 400 years ago by the de Burgo (Burke) family, which stands close to Lough Derg and the River Shannon. The parklands and woods (1,500 acres) surrounding the castle are now a wildlife sanctuary and home to lots of different little animals and deer.
From there we continue our journey through the lush rolling hills and patchwork farmland as we traverse Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands towards Galway City.
Stroll around the tribal city of Galway and take it all in – the busker music, the cobblestone lanes, the contemporary flair that blends well with its medieval past, and of course, the oysters
There will be the option here to go sea swimming at the famous diving boards in Salthill. There is something truly unique and mysterious about the sea and in particular the Atlantic Ocean on the West Coast of Ireland. We are lucky enough to stay beside the beautiful Atlantic Ocean, the ever-changing light and conditions draw locals in on a daily basis.
In the evening, you will have some free time to soak up the atmosphere in the lively streets and pubs. Street performers, live music and dance and colourful locals will keep you entertained during your stay.
