Conquer Croagh Patrick, stroll along our sandy beaches, surf our waves, forage in our forests, fish our seas, ramble along our boreens and over our hills, be amazed by our wildlife and be enchanted by our wildflowers. Discover the road less travelled and delve into ‘hidden Westport’, from scenic drives through jaw-dropping landscapes to out-of-the-way picnic spots and lesser-known beaches.
Take a trip out to any one of the spectacular beaches. Breathe in the unpolluted salt air and let the sound of the Atlantic ocean rollover your senses, calming your mind and washing away busy thoughts. Bertra Beach, Old Head, Carrownisky, Carramore, Mulranny and Silver Strand are all within a short drive from the town.
The Clew Bay Bike Trail is a new bike and ferry route looping magical Clew Bay, curving around the coastline, incorporating both Clare Island and Achill Island.
Or discover the amazing Great Western Greenway by bike from Achill Island to Westport
Or just spend the day wandering the towns colourful streets, visiting friendly pubs and cafes and craft shops.
You will have the evening free to experience this most exciting market town, full of fantastic pubs and restaurants, many with traditional ETB music. Listen out for the ETB language – Gaeilge – being spoken by some locals and take in the many and varied cultural experiences awaiting you.
The next morning, after a full ETB breakfast, you will be brought on a wonderful tour of one of Ireland’s most scenic regions – Connemara.
Overnight in Westport
After a hearty breakfast, it’s time to meet your guide and head out for a tour of the Connemara Region
Visit the ruins of 16th-century Murrisk Abbey and the National Famine Memorial.
Drive through the breathtaking Doolough Valley and of its tragic and haunting past
Discover the picture-postcard beauty of Killary Fjord & mystic fairy trees.
Explore Clifden & Connemara Region at your leisure. Take a self-guided cycling tour of the region – (Tour Option – €20 per person).
Expect a mix of paved country road and forest trails.
Duration 2/3 hours approx. Cycling ability is required.

We spend another day and night in the wilderness of Connemara, so you don’t need to repack your suitcase. Just relax and enjoy.
After breakfast is yours to design. Relax with downtime in Clifden. Or partake of the following options;

Guided sea kayaking on the Atlantic (Tour Option – €55 per person)
After lunch, discover the picture-postcard beauty of the Inagh Valley & Sky Road and a wee photo stop at Kylemore Abbey, one of Ireland’s most beautiful buildings, it’s then onto Connemara National Park for a hike around Diamond Hill for phenomenal views of Connemara.
Accommodation tonight is once again in Clifden

Travel back in time as we spend a whole day on the Gaelic speaking island of Inis Mor. Miles of stone walls awaits
Enjoy a 40 min boat trip to the island & choose to explore the island by bike (€15 per person) or on pony & trap with a local guide (€30 per person)
Discover the most impressive stone fort in Ireland at Dun Aengus.
Drop by local market shops for the famous Aran sweaters.
Pass by the remaining two Aran Islands en route back to Doolin in County Clare
Visit a nice cosy Pub for food and a traditional ETB music experience.

From the mighty cliffs to the magical kingdom as we move from Clare to Kerry.
Hike along until you reach the highest point of the Cliffs of Moher standing 214m (702 feet) above sea level.
Watch out for dolphins as we take a ferry across the mighty mouth of the Shannon – the longest river in Ireland or Britain!
Enjoy a spectacular sheepdog demonstration on a locally run farm.
Drive over Ireland’s highest mountain road, The Conor Pass
Roll into bustling Dingle just in time for a creamy pint of Guinness.

This morning is yours to design. Relax with downtime in Dingle. Or partake of the following options:
Stroll Dingle’s streets for a quirky mix of craft studios, lively pubs, fantastic food, and traditional ETB music.
Guided horse-ride experience along Ventry beach or up a mountain (Tour Option – €45 per person).
Discover the caves of Dingle Harbour, by sea kayak (Tour Option – €50 per person)
Take a guided bus tour on a leisurely drive around Slea Head.
From the town, it’s not far to a whiskey distillery that’s one of the smallest licensed distilleries in Ireland. Get inside insight into what makes this region the home of some of the best whiskey & Gin in the world with a tour and tasting led by a local expert. See if you can taste the from the localised well water to the immensely manual mashing, alongside the wooden fermentation vessels that feed into the three bespoke copper pot stills, the production is purely Dingle. Let the fresh Atlantic sea air revive you as you complete your circular walk back through Dingle harbour town. Enjoy a free evening to enjoy Gaelic hospitality and be sure to try some great local produce for dinner.

This morning you have a choice to discover Killarney National park by foot, bike or horse-drawn cart
A self-guided ride (included) is an excellent introduction to cycling in the Killarney National Park, a 2-hour flat ride that takes you out of Killarney town and through classic rolling scenery to reach Torc Waterfall, one of the largest in Ireland
If cycling not your thing you can explore Killarney on foot at your leisure
See the magical 1,000-year-old yew tree growing at the heart of ruined Muckross Abbey.
Scenic, short walk to Torc Waterfall.
Admire charming 19th century Muckross House Gardens.
Take a scenic horse-drawn carriage ride around Killarney National Park (Tour Option – €15 per person).
Your tour ends today with a scenic train journey through the ‘Golden Vale’ countryside of Ireland to Dublin.
