Join us on a unique Slovenia and Croatia group tour where you can discover all of the natural beauties of those two small but more and more recognizable countries. National parks, green forests, underground world, protected areas and magnificent waterfalls invite you on an unforgettable eight-day tour.

Day1 Tuesday: Venice– Arrival (D)

Arrive at Venice airport, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure until you gather for a Welcome Dinner with your Tour Director and travelling companions. (D)

Day2 Venice (B)

This day begins with a walking tour of Venice featuring the major highlights: St. Mark’s Square, St. Mark’s Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, Bell Tower, and the Bridge of Sighs. Then you visit a glassblowing factory where you will watch a master artisan demonstrating this traditional Venetian art. Finally, the afternoon is at leisure to enjoy Venice on your own or to take an optional gondola ride.

DAY3 Venice – Postojna Cave – Bled (B, D)

After breakfast, we head to Postojna and visit the famous cave, one of the largest in the world. This is one of Slovenia’s most popular attractions. Its stalagmite and stalactite formations are unequalled anywhere. An electric train will take you into the caves and then you enjoy in the underground karst world, where nature was the main architect through the millennia and has formed amazing formations. Then we continue the Slovenia and Croatia group tour to Bled, Slovenia’s most popular tourist resort. The positive energy of this place was discovered very early. First, it became a pilgrimage site and later a health resort. Dinner and overnight.

DAY4 Bled (B)

After breakfast, sightseeing in this charming town, the lakeshore and the Bled Castle, with scenic views. The positive energy of this place was discovered very early. Then you visit the quaint island in the lake by a typical boat called »pletna« and ring a wishing bell for good luck. But be careful what you wish for, the wishes come true! The rest of the day is at leisure.
Overnight.

DAY5 Friday: Bled – Ljubljana – Zagreb (B, D)

After breakfast, you will be driven to Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia. The guided tour will take you to the old baroque town, Prešeren Square, Congress Square, the City Hall, the Cathedral, the Butchers’ Bridge, the Dragon Bridge, and the open market, very popular with the locals. Next, we continue our Slovenia and Croatia group tour to Zagreb, the capital city of Croatia. Dinner and overnight.

DAY6 Saturday: Zagreb (B)

After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of the Croatian capital, which will reveal its most important cultural and architectural attractions: the Cathedral, the main Ban Jelacic square, the fortified Upper Town, the city’s historical centre, St. Mark’s Church with its multicoloured roof, the Croatian National Theatre. The rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Zagreb.

DAY7 Zagreb – Plitvice (B, D)

After breakfast, travel to the Plitvice National Park, wonderful nature protected by UNESCO. Here you enjoy touring the Plitvice Lakes National Park, which comprises 16 terraced lakes, interconnected by a series of stunning waterfalls and surrounded by densely-wooded hills. Walk among the waterfalls, take a boat ride through the crystal water and take some magnificent photos. Dinner and overnight in Plitvice.

DAY8 Friday: Plitvice – Trogir – Split (B)

Morning departure to Trogir, a town beautifully set on a small island within medieval walls with mazelike streets. Trogir is known for its Romanesque and Renaissance architecture, which flourished under Venetian rule. Then the Slovenia and Croata tour continues to the city of Split. Upon arrival, you start with the sightseeing tour of the city with typical cobbled Dalmatian streets in the historical centre built around the remains of the Palace of Emperor Diocletian from the 4th century AD. Learn about the area’s fascinating history as you see Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle, the Cathedral and other Renaissance and Gothic structures. Dinner and overnight in Split.

DAY9 Split (B)

This day you have free time to explore the town on your own. As an alternative, you can join an optional tour to Hvar Island, the most famous Croatian island. There you visit the town of Hvar and have a walking tour of the town’s historical landmarks: the Renaissance cathedral with its original tower and the oldest community theatre in Europe, which was founded in 1612. Hike up to the town fort overlooking the harbour to get some lovely scenic views. Return to Split. Overnight in Split

DAY10 Split – Dubrovnik (B, L)

After breakfast, you travel to Dubrovnik, where a local guide will show you around this world-famous Dalmatian city called the Pearl of Adriatic; it has a rich and exciting history, seen on every step of the most photographed towns in the Mediterranean. You will visit the Franciscan Monastery with Europe’s third oldest pharmacy, the Rector’s Palace and the Cathedral. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik.

DAY11 Dubrovnik (B, D)

Free day at leisure. Or you join an optional tour to Montenegro to see the Bay of Kotor, described as the Mediterranean’s only fjord, between the mountains and the blue sea. Next, take a boat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks, one of two islets off the coast of Perast. The Roman Catholic Church is the largest building on the islet, with a museum. Upon return to the coast, stop in Perast, an old charming coastal town. Return to Dubrovnik. In the evening gather for a farewell dinner.

DAY12 Saturday: Dubrovnik – Departure (B)

Breakfast and then transfer to Dubrovnik Airport for your departure flight.
