Arrive at Pamplona Airport or train station and enjoy a private transfer to your central hotel. After check-in, meet your guide for an orientation walk of the old town. Learn about the festival’s deep-rooted traditions, visit the Plaza del Castillo, and savor your first Navarrese tapas dinner paired with regional wines.
Today kicks off with the Chupinazo (opening ceremony) from Pamplona’s city hall balcony. Join thousands dressed in white and red as champagne sprays and chants fill the air. In the evening, experience your first taste of the festivities—parades of giants and big heads, live music, and dazzling fireworks light up the night sky.
Wake up early for your exclusive balcony spot along the Encierro route. Watch runners dash ahead of charging bulls in one of the world’s most iconic events. Afterward, enjoy a guided walking tour of Pamplona, exploring the Cathedral of Santa María, ancient city walls, and Hemingway’s favorite haunts.
Option 1: Join the bull run (at your own risk, with safety briefing and waiver).
Option 2: Visit nearby La Rioja wine region. Explore vineyards, enjoy cellar tours, and taste some of Spain’s finest red wines. Return to Pamplona in the evening for more festival fun or a quiet dinner away from the crowds.
Sleep in and enjoy a relaxed breakfast before your private transfer to the airport/train station. If time allows, take a final stroll or shop for local souvenirs like traditional sashes, wines, or Spanish leather. Depart with thrilling memories from one of Europe’s most legendary festivals.
