DAY1 Saturday: Zagreb – Arrival (D)

Arrive at Zagreb airport, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure until you gather for a Welcome Dinner with your Tour Director and travelling companions.

DAY2 Zagreb (B)

After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Croatia’s capital, which will reveal its most important cultural and architectural attractions: the Cathedral, the main Ban Jelacic square, the fortified Upper Town, the city’s historical centre, St. Mark’s Church with its multicoloured roof, the Croatian National Theatre. The rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Zagreb.

DAY3 Zagreb – Plitvice (B, D)

After breakfast, travel to the Plitvice National Park, wonderful nature protected by UNESCO. Here you enjoy touring the Plitvice Lakes National Park, which comprises 16 terraced lakes, interconnected by a series of stunning waterfalls and surrounded by densely-wooded hills. Walk among the waterfalls, take a boat ride through the crystal water and take some magnificent photos. Dinner and overnight in Plitvice.

DAY4 Plitvice – Trogir – Split (B)

Morning departure to Trogir, a town beautifully set on a small island within medieval walls with mazelike streets. Trogir is known for its Romanesque and Renaissance architecture, which flourished under Venetian rule. Then the tour continues to the city of Split. Upon arrival, you start with the sightseeing tour of the city with typical cobbled Dalmatian streets in the historical centre, which is built around the remains of the Palace of Emperor Diocletian from the 4th century AD. Next, learn about the area’s fascinating history as you see Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle, the Cathedral and other Renaissance and Gothic structures. Dinner and overnight in Split.

DAY5 Split (B)

This day you have free time to explore the town on your own. As an alternative, you can join an optional tour to Hvar Island, the most famous Croatian island. There you visit the town of Hvar and have a walking tour of the town’s historical landmarks: the Renaissance cathedral with its original tower and the oldest community theatre in Europe, founded in 1612. Hike up to the town fort overlooking the harbour to get some lovely scenic views. Return to Split. Overnight in Split

DAY6 Split – Dubrovnik (B, L)

After breakfast, you travel to Dubrovnik. A local guide will show you around this world-famous Dalmatian city, also called the Pearl of Adriatic. Dubrovnik has a rich and exciting history, which is seen on every step and is one of the most photographed towns in the Mediterranean. You will visit the Franciscan Monastery with Europe’s third oldest pharmacy, the Rector’s Palace and the Cathedral. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik.

DAY7 Dubrovnik (B, D)

Free day at leisure. Or you join an optional tour to Montenegro to see the Bay of Kotor, described as the Mediterranean’s only fjord, between the mountains and the blue sea. Next, take a boat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks, one of two islets off the coast of Perast. The Roman Catholic Church is the largest building on the islet, with a museum. Upon return to the coast, stop in Perast, an old charming coastal town. Return to Dubrovnik. In the evening, gather for a farewell dinner.

DAY8 Dubrovnik – Cetinje – Podgorica – Kolasin (B, D)

After breakfast, travel to Cetinje, the former Montenegrin royal city, once the smallest European capital. There you visit King Nikola’s Museum, founded in 1926, within the residence of the last Montenegrin ruler Nikola I Petrovic Njegoš. Next, continue to Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro and then to Kolašin, the town spreading on the left bank of the river Tara situated at the altitude of 954m. The whole area is surrounded by the thick pine forest of Bjelasica Mountain. It is a popular skiing and air spa resort. Dinner and overnight in Kolašin.

DAY9 Kolasin – Durmitor National Park (B, L, D)

Today, you visit Durmitor National Park, located in a vast mountain region in the northwestern part of Montenegro. There are 23 mountain tops over 2300m and 17 glacier lakes surrounded by rivers Piva and Tara. Tara River Canyon is the largest and deepest canyon in Europe. Overnight in Kolašin

DAY10 Kolasin – Tirana (B)

After breakfast, you head to Albania. En route, you visit Moraca Monastery, built-in 13th century and represents one of the region’s most important medieval orthodox monuments. After crossing the border into Albania, you stop in Shkodra, a major cultural centre. Continue to Tirana. Dinner and overnight in Tirana.

DAY11 Tirana (B, D)

Morning sightseeing tour of Tirana: Skender Bey Square, the Mosque of Ethem Bey and a visit to the National Museum representing the flow of Albanian history which also houses the finds from archaeological sites across the country. The afternoon is free to explore the city on your own. In the evening, gather for a farewell dinner.

DA12 Tirana – Departure (B)

Breakfast and then transfer to Tirana Airport for your departure flight.Legend: B – breakfast; L – lunch; D – dinn​er
